Is It Safe?
Is flying a trike weight shift control light sport aircraft (LSA) safe? Sport trikes are safe and reliable if maintained properly and the pilot has acquired the proper training.
Many of the weight shift control LSA have been certified to strict standards in foreign countries such as Great Britain, France, Germany, and Australia. Many of the new Special Light Sport Aircraft (S-LSA) are certified to FAA developed ASTM Industry Standards for safe flying and structural integrity.
